FFI Apps: FAQ

Information on cookies

To make the website apps.liturgiaetmusica.com (the “Site”) work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most big websites do this too.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

The apps described on this site do not use cookies. The only exception to this is when you use their built-in browser to visit the Site or other websites that happen to use cookies.

How does the Site use cookies?

The Site uses cookies to remember:

  • display preferences such as language and font size,
  • if you have accepted our use of cookies on this site.

Google’s Universal Analytics also uses cookies to collect anonymous data on how users interact with the Site. This is a third-party service that utilizes the data collected to track and examine the use of the Site, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Google may use the data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

Personal data collected: Cookie and Usage Data. Place of processing: USA. A Google website provides more information on how Google Analytics safeguards your data.

Enabling these cookies is not strictly necessary for the website to work but it will provide you with a better browsing experience.

The cookie-related information is not used to identify you personally. These cookies are not used for any purpose other than those described here.

How to control cookies

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see aboutcookies.org or the links below. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionality may not work.

More information

The rest of this page gives additional information on the cookies used by the Site.

The Site uses only “technical” cookies, including session cookies, functionality cookies, and analytic cookies.

Session cookies

Session cookies only last until the user closes his browser, and are then deleted. The Site uses them to improve the navigation experience between the pages of the Site. These are first-party cookies.

Functional cookies

Functional cookies are necessary to remember the user’s choices from one visit to another. These are first-party cookies.

Third-party analytic cookies

These cookies are used to collect anonymous information on the user’s use of the Site. This includes: pages visited, time per page, browser used, operating system, network, and geographic area. These cookies are sent to a third-party domain external to the site.

The specific service used is Google’s Universal Analytics. This is a web analysis service furnished by Google. By means of anonymous identifiers, it collects navigation data in order to track and examine the use of the Site, compile reports on Site activity, and furnish other services relative to Site activity, including the number of visitors and the pages visited. Google can also transfer this data to third parties when required by law or when these third parties process the data on its behalf in accord with its Privacy Policy (see link below).

By using the Site, the user consents to allow Google to collect and retain data in the manner and for the purposes set forth above. The data transmitted to Google are stored in the United States. Google has certified that it complies with the US-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the US-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland. For further information on how Google stores and uses this data, see their Privacy Policy.
